Do a First Pass

, , ,

Work in quick, broad and rough strokes, with an attitude that says: “No worries. This is just a first pass. We’ll do another pass on it later.”

Keep your mind away from the urge to finish, decide, choose and overthink. Relax your mind by gently telling it: “Don’t worry, this is just first pass. We’ll come back and make it better later.”

When you have done a quick first pass all over, take a step back, and choose what area that needs another pass. Again, calm your mind: “Relax, this is just a second pass, it doesn’t have to be perfect yet.”
